| Bonjour monsieurs and Mademoiselles of the Opera Populaire,
I'm afriad I bring both good and unfortunate news. well, firstly, please accept my deepest apologies for not being at the popluaire..for, goodness, five monthes! I have been terribly busy, and just could not find the time, unfortunately, I doubt that is going to change until the summer.
The good news I bring is that I was accepted to attend the Victoria Conservatory of Music! I'm very exceited, however, it is located in Canada, which means that next year I will not be in attendence at the OP. which I suppose in the bad news. All I have left with everyone here is the summer! I'm alreayd upset about leaving, but that's just life, isn't it?
in the past five monthes, truthfully, nothing of great importance has happened. Daniel and I are still courting each other. This past April was our one year anneversary! it was wonderful! I have been keeping ballet in my day, even with my schedule. After all, one cannot be expected to become a dancer without devotion!
Once again, please pardon me for not being here for the longest time. I am hoping all of this is going to change in the summer, after all, I want to enjoy my last 3 monthes with everyone here!
Au Revior,

| I must give my deepest regrets to the entire Opera Populaire, because of my studies, and colleges, I'm afriad I have to take a Hiatus from the OP. (I'm not leaving permenantly!!! I WILL be back, I promise!). but my life is to crazy right now, andI need to take a break.

| Edit: January 27th, Friday
Happy 250 to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! He's always been one of my favorite composers-I basically grew up on his work. this must sound odd, but I adore his requiem, there's so much passion in it, and it's so much the more moving because it was one of the last pieces he ever composed.

Bonjour!
*sigh* why can't life be simpler? everything used to be so EASY! My semester exams finally ended last week. It's rather unnerving to think that my senoir is half over. I do not even know what college I will be attending yet! I do know that I will be majoring music and theatrical arts. I cannot think of anything else that I would rather do. At the moment I was thinking of attending the Victoria Conservatory of Music...but that is all the way in Canada! I don't think I want to move that far away from my home or the OP....perhaps the the Royal Academy of Music in London... Which is much closer to home than Canada
Other news I supose would be that Phantom of the Opera has surpased CATS as being the longest running musical (as of Monday, January 9th). So I'm happy about it, hence the new layout.
Oh, and finally in celebration of the 1 year anneversary of the Opera Populaire, we will be having a party on the 17th, and a masque on the 21st. I don't know where either will be held or at what time yet.
Au Revoir,
Fleur
*sigh* someday soon I will get the role of Odette...

Edit, Jan 21, 2006
here is my gown and mask for the masquerade tonight, I hope to see everyone there!

*sigh, I had to change my gown at the last moment. a close friend of mine was able to provide me with a new one at the last moment (luckily we're both the same size!)
my mask, it seemed only fitting since our dear OG is no longer amoung us.

| Bonjour,
the first day of 2006! it is almost hard to believe that 2005 has finally come to a close. So much has happened! I cannot believe I have been in the OP for almost a year! the time has flown by so quickly. I wish everyone in the Opera Populaire a happy and healthy new year! I know this sounds silly, but i still make some new years resolutions; to work on my vocal range, and get into better shape for dance.
Ian and Claire left yesterday to return to Glasgow, but not before giving me some rather exceiting news-Claire's expecting! it means I'm to be an aunt! the child isn't due until July-ish they think, but I'm still exceited. I grew up in a small family, so any new commer is very welcomed.
I had a wonderful time at the New Years Eve ball. I managed to drag Daniel along with me (he doesn't attend these very often). Everyone looked magnificent! I must ask you to pardon the rushed sounding note, but as usual, I'm short on time. *sigh* I cannot wait until I am finaly free of my studies.
Au Revoir,
Fleur
